Officials who speak to them cite “strategic surprise” and fear of adversaries gaining access to breakthroughs as the primary justification for secrecy. But Corbell and Knapp suggest many insiders also fear the societal and religious impact if humanity learned we might be genetically engineered, spiritually “harvested,” or subject to long-term non-human manipulation—ideas that could shatter existing worldviews.

Both guests emphasize that without visible public demand and persistent action from Senators and Representatives, efforts like the Schumer UAP amendment and any Church Committee–style investigation will stall. They see media platforms (including Rogan’s show) as crucial for normalizing the topic, empowering whistleblowers, and building momentum for transparent oversight rather than controlled, purely internal disclosure.
