Why the traditional school model fails many students

School doesn't work for everybody. It just doesn't. The traditional methods of learning, the curriculum, the way, the way information is taught, that only works for people who can align themselves with that environment, but also that their brain is good with learning by, say, being verbally taught. But not everybody learns that way. I'm a very visual guy. Like, if you tell me something, I might struggle to kinda, like, hold that. But if you show me something [snaps finger] I get it, 'cause that's how my brain, uh, that's how my brain works.

So it's understanding that it's not just neurodiversity, it's different modes of learning. Especially with young people with ADHD, is they thrive on praise. Like, lead with praise. Lead with reward. We know this stuff works really, really well. But if you have a system that's designed to punish and to, to, to make the young person feel worthless, then it can't work
