EVERY SPOKEN WORD

Does anyone else with ADHD experience this? Because it is the most frustrating thing about living with ADHD, and I'll explain it through a story, something that's just happened. I, I... Four days ago, I was sat at home and my phone went, and it was a guy who runs a TED event in, in, in England, and he said, "Alex, are you able to come up to Manchester and do a TED Talk on Saturday?" And I was like, "Okay, that's three days. Yeah, okay." And I was, like, unable to focus on anything else. Suddenly the stress was there. I've got a TED Talk, I need to write it, I need to memorize it, I need to perfect the speech. And I couldn't do anything else other than, like, wait for this event to come around and just hyper-focus on perfecting my talk. I went up to Manchester, I got on stage, I did the talk. A huge round of applause. I remember, like, meeting loads of people afterwards. People were saying, like, they were in tears, and it went really well. But now I've... I'm speaking to people and they're like, "Oh, Alex, don't you think, like, shouldn't you feel really proud that you've done that?" And there's nothing. There's no sense of accomplishment whatsoever. Like, there's just a, a, a huge relief that it's done. I'm just so happy the anxiety of worrying about the event is gone. Like, there's no evidence in my head now about I'm capable of doing a TED Talk. There's none of that. Like, why can't we store this in our heads? [laughs] It's just relief that it's done. Like, is there... Does anyone else feel that?
