The Joe Rogan Experience.
Train by day, Joe Rogan podcast by night. All day. (rock music) Andrew.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Hi, Joe.
- JRJoe Rogan
What's up, brother? How are you?
- ASAndrew Schulz
I'm good, man. How you doing?
- JRJoe Rogan
Are you going no headphones? I'll go no headphones too.
- ASAndrew Schulz
I always go no headphones, man.
- JRJoe Rogan
Why is that? Why no headphones?
- ASAndrew Schulz
I don't know. It just... It- it locks me in, in a weird way.
- JRJoe Rogan
In a weird way?
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, the headphones, I don't know, I don't feel like I'm talking to you.
- JRJoe Rogan
Like-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Now, like, I feel like we're having a conversation and there's just the microphone in the way.
- JRJoe Rogan
Okay.
- ASAndrew Schulz
But this feels like it's on the phone.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah, I noticed on your show, you never do headphones-
- ASAndrew Schulz
No.
- JRJoe Rogan
... on any of your podcasts.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
No headphones.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Never.
- JRJoe Rogan
Okay.
- ASAndrew Schulz
It is what it is.
- JRJoe Rogan
Okay. Dude, your show is fucking badass.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Mm.
- JRJoe Rogan
That Netflix show is very, very good.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Did you watch it?
- JRJoe Rogan
You are... Yes, I did.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Let's go.
- 2:18 – 4:49
Finding formats that work: Instagram live experiments & Bill Maher inspiration
- ASAndrew Schulz
And then it happened. We tried a few things that didn't work exactly and then-
- JRJoe Rogan
What'd you try that didn't work?
- ASAndrew Schulz
... we did uh... We did one thing that did work, we did like a talent show on Instagram Live.
- JRJoe Rogan
(laughs)
- ASAndrew Schulz
And that was sick. It was just Corona's Got Talent and Corona Beer sponsored it, so it looked kind of cool.
- JRJoe Rogan
Really?
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, they just were like, "Yo, can we send you beers, like Coronas, because nobody is buying Coronas?" We're like, "Fuck yeah, this is crazy." (laughs)
- JRJoe Rogan
How ridiculous is that, that no one was buying Coronas because of Coronavirus?
- ASAndrew Schulz
I know.
- JRJoe Rogan
That is so dumb.
- ASAndrew Schulz
I know, it was wild. So we did... That was cool. Then we did like... I was just doing like straight to the camera stuff and it was like, um, kind of like long form, almost like talking to people but it wasn't like comedic. It was more just like, "Hey, this is what's going on." You know? But for me I was like, I want to be... I want to be funny in what I do, you know? Like we have the podcast where we get to joke around and that's longer form but like if we're going to create something, like a piece of content, I want it to be funny. And then it was Bill Maher actually inspired it.
- JRJoe Rogan
Really?
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, that snarky fuck.
- JRJoe Rogan
(laughs)
- ASAndrew Schulz
That guy (laughs) . He's so snarky, bro.
- JRJoe Rogan
He's so snarky.
- ASAndrew Schulz
But like, remember when he did that video where like, um, he was saying why it wasn't racist to call it the Chinese virus?
- JRJoe Rogan
Yes.
- ASAndrew Schulz
And it was this great video.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
And I got sent it by like 10 different people and like all different ages were sending it to me. Like my- my fiance now's, uh, mom and dad sent it to me and like my boys were sending it to me. And I remember going, "Oh shit, like people need... People need like a s-... like a safe way of- of, uh, describing their feelings." You know what I mean? Oftentimes at comics that's kind of what we do, like we'll describe how people feel in a funny way so all of a sudden it's okay and safe. But if you just said that at work, it would be racist. You know what I mean?
- JRJoe Rogan
Like in what... Like what-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Like a... Like sometimes having an opinion is super costly, you know?
- JRJoe Rogan
Right. Sure.
- ASAndrew Schulz
So if you... So it's like... But if you can thread the needle or what we call like slice it thin, that's what we say on the show, like where you can say it in a way where it's not costly, other people will really be engaged with it because they'll be like, "Yeah, that's how I feel. It's just when I was trying to explain it, it seemed kind of sexist or it seemed kind of racist or it seemed kind of this." And it's like if you can actually get it down to like just the nuance of what the issue is, you'll get it and he just did that with that. He's like... He went through every virus-
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
... it was just named after something else.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
And then all of a sudden it was like, "Oh yeah, that's not hateful."
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah, I retweeted that. I thought it was great. Yeah, he's- he's got-
- 4:49 – 5:55
Nuance, outrage cycles, and social media pile-ons
- JRJoe Rogan
And you did, yeah. It's um... What that is, is like when you're just trying to call people out on things, like trying to make things more whatever, more sexist, more homophobic, more racist than they really are. Those people that- that are doing that-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Mm.
- JRJoe Rogan
... they need to take some hits.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
Because like they ju-... Those are free shots.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
Like they take these free shots and there's no... Like you're really creating turmoil-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
... in social media with that shit.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
It- it fucks people's lives up.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
And the people that do it, they never get ostracized, they never get called out.
- ASAndrew Schulz
(laughs) Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
People just either agree or disagree but when people just red- go ridiculous after someone for something that doesn't make any sense-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
... like this is the year for that.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
Because the- the pandemic exaggerated everything. It exaggerated everybody's fears-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
... it exaggerated everybody's anger, everybody felt more helpless and a lot of times when people don't feel well, they don't... they don't look internally to try to fix themselves.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
They attack-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yes.
- JRJoe Rogan
... things around them.
- ASAndrew Schulz
You're doing this to me.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yes, you're doing this to me.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
You're making me angry.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- 5:55 – 9:16
Media narratives, white men discourse, and performative allies
- JRJoe Rogan
I love the... One of the videos where you, uh, posted all of the different-... titles of all these different articles about white people-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Oh, yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
... about white men-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
... being toxic, and your time is almost up, and like-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
That's-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Well, that's what we were trying to do, man, like-
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
... in that piece, we were just trying to, to talk about, like, like, not everybody that voted for Trump is racist, but they were positioned that way by the media.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
And we were just sitting there, and we're like, "What is the slice here?" Like, I don't believe that, like, I, you know-
- JRJoe Rogan
No.
- ASAndrew Schulz
And all of us have, like, a family member or friends that did. We know them. They're not racist, so why, why were they drawn to them? And we started to kinda, like, go back, and I think it was back in, like, 2016. Like, there were all these articles, and they just kind of, like, positioned... I guess it kinda, like, positioned white dudes, specifically, as, like, responsible for all the evils in the world. And I guess the people in power are gonna do the bad things.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
And if white people are in power, they're gonna do it, but I don't know if you can, like, make a blanket assessment on, like, everybody that has white skin with that.
- JRJoe Rogan
It's dumb.
- ASAndrew Schulz
It is l- it's dumb, right?
- JRJoe Rogan
It's just dumb.
- ASAndrew Schulz
So yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
You could, you could say what it is. It's hateful. It's rude. It is actually racist. It's actually sexist.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
But at the end of the day, it's just dumb.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, it's just dumb.
- JRJoe Rogan
It's, it's a d- a dumb way to describe life.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
And the people that agree with it, that's, that's a real problem, is that there's a lot of lemmings out there that don't have a lot of time to sit through things-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
... and, and really think things out-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- 9:16 – 12:58
Attraction, strength stereotypes, and why ‘hot’ gets labeled ‘dumb’
- ASAndrew Schulz
Ha- I feel like strong women, I don't under- I don't know how we put it into, like, quotes, but, like, "strong women" are not intimidated by strong men.
- JRJoe Rogan
They're not, but some strong women have been burned by so many dickhead men-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Right.
- JRJoe Rogan
... that they're just tired of men in general, and they don't have the time to s- to look for nuance.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
They don't have the time to look for, is this guy a stereotypical douchebag man-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
... or is this guy a thoughtful guy who looks like a dickhead?
- ASAndrew Schulz
Right.
- JRJoe Rogan
You know, there's both, both those things are possible.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
You know?
- ASAndrew Schulz
So you could look like a dickhead-
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
... as long as you're sweet.
- JRJoe Rogan
If you're some fucking big me- meathead dude, likes to go to the gym, but you read a lot-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
... and you're really interesting and you-
- ASAndrew Schulz
(laughs)
- JRJoe Rogan
... you just like being yoked.
- ASAndrew Schulz
(laughs)
- JRJoe Rogan
That's possible.
- ASAndrew Schulz
You're allowed to like-
- JRJoe Rogan
That's possible.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yo, what, what happened where dudes aren't allowed to be strong?
- JRJoe Rogan
(scoffs) That's not real.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Like, something happened where, like, if you go to the gym, you're automatically dumb.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yes.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Like, you're doing the thing-
- JRJoe Rogan
Yes.
- 12:58 – 15:14
WAP, Kegels, and the rabbit hole of ‘vaginal weightlifting’
- JRJoe Rogan
That song is a funny song, because if you, if that song was about hard ass dicks-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Mm.
- JRJoe Rogan
... there is no way it would be so publicly and culturally acceptable.
- ASAndrew Schulz
(laughs) Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
To talk about hard ass dicks.
- ASAndrew Schulz
It is cool that wetness has become their like, uh, like judging point for pussy. Like, 'cause we didn't really know what it was. You, it was tightness for a while.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
You know what I mean? But like tightness, they can't really control. But wetness-
- JRJoe Rogan
Sure they can.
- ASAndrew Schulz
You can?
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Like what? Kegeling?
- JRJoe Rogan
Kegels, yeah, exercises. There's competitions.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Have you been with loose vagina? Have you had loose vagina?
- JRJoe Rogan
Um, not like ridiculous.
- ASAndrew Schulz
That's a tough question 'cause if you admit it, it's like...
- JRJoe Rogan
What happens?
- ASAndrew Schulz
Maybe you weren't filling up that...
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah, maybe, maybe you got a little dirt.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Exactly, yeah. (laughs)
- JRJoe Rogan
I mean, they, obviously, they do vary.
- ASAndrew Schulz
They have to vary.
- JRJoe Rogan
They vary.
- ASAndrew Schulz
They have to.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
But we don't talk about that.
- JRJoe Rogan
No, we don't.
- ASAndrew Schulz
We don't talk about volume in pussy.
- JRJoe Rogan
Mm-mm.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Like, there's just-
- 15:14 – 20:12
Engagement, future kids, and whether NYC can bounce back
- JRJoe Rogan
You're recently out the game too, right?
- ASAndrew Schulz
That's right, yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
How long?
- ASAndrew Schulz
Uh.
- JRJoe Rogan
Have you done the thing yet? Like, "I do, I do"?
- ASAndrew Schulz
I proposed.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah, when you do the "I do, I do" thing.
- ASAndrew Schulz
We didn't do that. But that, to me, the proposal was the "I do".
- JRJoe Rogan
Right.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Right? Like, I don't know. I don't feel like it's any different now. For her, it might be.
- JRJoe Rogan
Mm-hmm.
- ASAndrew Schulz
But for me, I've made the commitment.
- JRJoe Rogan
Right, yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Financially.
- JRJoe Rogan
You gonna make little Andrew Schulz?
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, I would like to.
- JRJoe Rogan
Ooh.
- ASAndrew Schulz
That would be fire.
- JRJoe Rogan
Where, you gonna steal him in New York City?
- ASAndrew Schulz
Um, I think so. Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
I think we're gonna see what happens to New York in like the next year.
- JRJoe Rogan
Well, it's gonna light on fire.
- ASAndrew Schulz
You think so?
- JRJoe Rogan
Oh yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
It's gonna fall apart.
- ASAndrew Schulz
You think?
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah, the businesses are gone.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- 20:12 – 21:34
Lockdowns, comedy clubs, and why Texas felt freer
- JRJoe Rogan
I just think that the problem with New York is particularly, like, restaurants and clubs and stuff like that. Like-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
Those things are not coming back. And those things-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Clubs could go.
- JRJoe Rogan
... that have been around for a long time.
- ASAndrew Schulz
I'm cool with that.
- JRJoe Rogan
Wait, like comedy clubs?
- ASAndrew Schulz
No, like nightclubs.
- JRJoe Rogan
Nightclubs, yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah. Comedy clubs should be back. And we should, uh, I mean, we should be doing more to help the comedy clubs, honestly, man.
- JRJoe Rogan
They should let them open is what they should do.
- ASAndrew Schulz
They should let them fucking open.
- JRJoe Rogan
They should let people do whatever the fuck they wanna do, and that's what they do right here.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Mm.
- JRJoe Rogan
That's why I moved here. They let people do whatever the fuck they wanna do.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
You, you can go to restaurants, you can go to clubs.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
Chappelle and I are doing these shows. There's-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Amazing.
- JRJoe Rogan
... 400 people outside stuffed into this amphitheater.
- ASAndrew Schulz
I love it.
- JRJoe Rogan
And they're all COVID tested.
- ASAndrew Schulz
I love it.
- JRJoe Rogan
And they're like, "Good. Sounds good. Let's do a show." You can't even do that in LA. They won't even allow you. You can't even do-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, LA is shut down completely, right?
- JRJoe Rogan
... outdoor dining. It doesn't make any sense.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
There's no science behind it.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- 21:34 – 23:46
Schulz catches COVID: Regeneron timing, lost smell, and testing boundaries
- ASAndrew Schulz
I was trying to get that Regeneron from you.
- JRJoe Rogan
You can get it from somewhere.
- ASAndrew Schulz
When I, when I got Corona ... Nah, when I got Corona, I hit you up. I was like, "Joe, I have ... You and Jamie-"
- JRJoe Rogan
You were too late though.
- ASAndrew Schulz
What do you mean?
- JRJoe Rogan
You, you, you wanna get it right at the point of infection. Like, right when you know you have it, that's when you're supposed to get on that stuff.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Right, right.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
You were, you were like five days in when you got ahold of me.
- ASAndrew Schulz
I think I was a few days in and I was like freaking out 'cause it was literally right in the middle of the Netflix shoot.
- JRJoe Rogan
Mm-hmm.
- ASAndrew Schulz
We had to shut it down. And, um, and I remember going, "I need to beat this within 10 days so that we don't miss our launch date."
- JRJoe Rogan
Right.
- ASAndrew Schulz
'Cause I gotta come back and film. And I was like, "Who the fuck know, do I know that has some Regeneron?" And then I remember I texted you and I was like, "Joe," and I texted you like real, like, easy at first. I was like, "Joe, what should I do for Corona?" You know what I mean? And then you were like, "You know, take some Vitamin D, this, that and the other." I was like, "Yeah, that's cool. But what's up with that Regeneron?" And then you, next thing you text me, you're like, "I can get my hands on that if you need it." (laughs)
- JRJoe Rogan
The, the, the, the issue was the doctor told me it was too late.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Really?
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah. The doctor I got ahold of said he's better-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Oh, that's so funny though.
- JRJoe Rogan
He asked me, "Your symptoms." Asked me where you're at. He goes, "Literally he's better off just doing nothing right now."
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah. It was all right. You know? It was like a have a little cold and shit.
- JRJoe Rogan
You still can't smell though.
- ASAndrew Schulz
I can't smell. I was telling you earlier, I can't smell. And I lost taste-
- JRJoe Rogan
At all?
- ASAndrew Schulz
... for a little bit. Um, no. I can't smell at all. I realized I couldn't smell-
- JRJoe Rogan
Hold up.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah?
- JRJoe Rogan
How about Donell Rawlings Black Ash Candle?
- ASAndrew Schulz
Ooh! Let me smell that.
- JRJoe Rogan
Mm.
- 23:46 – 26:02
Peptides, HGH, biohacking skepticism, and aging well
- ASAndrew Schulz
But you don't mind being like an experiment for these things?
- JRJoe Rogan
No. No.
- ASAndrew Schulz
You like it.
- JRJoe Rogan
Well, I talk to doctors.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
Like I'm not doing this like haphazardly.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
All these doctors that I talk to have already been experimenting on people for decades.
- ASAndrew Schulz
It's a little, it's a little haphazardly.
- JRJoe Rogan
Well, it's ... I get blood tests-
- ASAndrew Schulz
It's a little bit.
- JRJoe Rogan
And I ... It's like I know what I'm doing.
- ASAndrew Schulz
You were pitching us something earlier. It didn't even have a name, Joe.
- JVJamie Vernon
(laughs)
- JRJoe Rogan
Which, which 100%...
- ASAndrew Schulz
You like ... The B- the BPC Piping-
- JRJoe Rogan
Oh, BPC 157?
- ASAndrew Schulz
I don't know what this thing is.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah, it's a peptide.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah. Of course.
- JRJoe Rogan
It's, it heals-
- ASAndrew Schulz
It's a peptide.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah. It heals people with injuries.
- ASAndrew Schulz
I know what ... A peptide? What is a peptide? Joe, Joe, Joe, look at me.
- JRJoe Rogan
(laughs)
- ASAndrew Schulz
I went to public school. I don't know what a peptide is.
- JRJoe Rogan
(laughs)
- ASAndrew Schulz
How the fuck do you-
- JRJoe Rogan
I went to public school too.
- ASAndrew Schulz
How the fuck do you know what a peptide is?
- 26:02 – 29:33
Training, bone density, and whether Rogan could still fight
- JRJoe Rogan
There's thymosin, there's a few different peptides, but all of them, uh, athletes like to use 'cause it accelerates healing. Do you do anything, any sports or anything? You di- I know you played basketball a little bit.
- ASAndrew Schulz
I was playing ball and then I kinda stopped playing ball, and then, um, I, uh, I box, kickbox a little bit.
- JRJoe Rogan
Oh, yeah?
- ASAndrew Schulz
That's what I do for like, uh, exercise. Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
Oh. That's good.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
You doing that right now? Is there, are they open in New York?
- ASAndrew Schulz
I kinda ... I like broke my hand a few months ago.
- JRJoe Rogan
How'd you do that?
- ASAndrew Schulz
So like ... Mm, my brother and I got into a little thing.
- JRJoe Rogan
You and your brother, huh?
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah. It was-
- JRJoe Rogan
You hit him in the forehead?
- ASAndrew Schulz
Uh, uh, actually the cheekbone.
- JRJoe Rogan
You had a, a w- a, uh, an actual donnybrook with your brother.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, a little b- ... And it's fucked up is because like I, you know, usually you break these knuckles.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
But, uh, I broke this one. He's huge. My brother's like 6'6", so like I think I was punching up and I just hit that part of my finger first, but he's massive. Like he could ju- just fucking destroy me if he wanted to.
- JRJoe Rogan
Why'd you hit him then?
- ASAndrew Schulz
Uh, he just hit me.
- JRJoe Rogan
(laughs) He hit you first?
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
Wow.
- ASAndrew Schulz
He's got some, you know, he's like, uh, he's got some stuff going on still.
- JRJoe Rogan
Some issues?
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah. He's a little, he's a little schizophrenic, so like ...
- JRJoe Rogan
Oh, no.
- ASAndrew Schulz
I just walked in for my dad's birthday.
- JRJoe Rogan
A giant schizophrenic.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- 29:33 – 39:34
Fight hype as entertainment: Paul brothers, Khabib dominance, and weight cutting
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, Jake is interesting, man. He is excellent-
- JRJoe Rogan
Dude, he's good.
- ASAndrew Schulz
... at trolling.
- JRJoe Rogan
So is his brother.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
His brother's i- there's a, we played a video of his brother wrestling, uh, Paulo Costa.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
His brother is fucking legit.
- ASAndrew Schulz
I think the-
- JRJoe Rogan
He's a legit athlete.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, I think he wrestled back in the day though.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah. Yeah, he did.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
Wrestled in college. Jamie tried to shut it down, said it was like junior college.
- ASAndrew Schulz
(laughs)
- JRJoe Rogan
It was actually a real college.
- JVJamie Vernon
Oh.
- JRJoe Rogan
(laughs)
- ASAndrew Schulz
That's that Ohio rivalry right there.
- JRJoe Rogan
Little bit.
- ASAndrew Schulz
That's what that is.
- JRJoe Rogan
No, those guys... Listen, man. You gotta give credit where credit's due.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
I know those guys like to troll, but he's... Jake and his brother are both legitimate tough guys.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Do you-
- JRJoe Rogan
They're tough.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Do you think that you need trolling now for fight sports? Are we at a point where, like, that's the only thing that engages the casual fan?
- JRJoe Rogan
Well, Khabib Nurmagomedov is the biggest draw in combat sports.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
And he doesn't do any trash talk.
- 39:34 – 1:09:42
Mayweather vs Logan, celebrity boxing economics, and the ‘fake beard’ detour
- JRJoe Rogan
What do you think is gonna happen when he fights Logan Paul? How crazy is that-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Dude, I love-
- JRJoe Rogan
... that they're doing that?
- ASAndrew Schulz
... I, dude, I like Logan.
- JRJoe Rogan
Logan's a big kid.
- ASAndrew Schulz
But it, it-
- JRJoe Rogan
He's big.
- ASAndrew Schulz
... it doesn't matter. It's like Canelo was big. They've all been big.
- JRJoe Rogan
But, but you know with Canelo, the, the, Floyd, one of the things he did that was really intelligent, he forced Canelo to go down to, I believe it was 152 pounds.
- ASAndrew Schulz
154. Oh, did they have a catch weight?
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah. I think it was-
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
... 152. And I, and I think he did that because he knew Canelo had a hard time making 154.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, yeah. I mean, now Canelo's at 168.
- JRJoe Rogan
Well, he fought 75. He knocked out Kovalev.
- ASAndrew Schulz
I thought that was at 168.
- JRJoe Rogan
No, that was the Light Heavyweight title.
- ASAndrew Schulz
That was the Light Heavyweight? Mm-hmm. Okay.
- JRJoe Rogan
Yeah.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- JRJoe Rogan
He knocked out Kovalev.
- ASAndrew Schulz
Yeah, yeah. Great left hook.
- JRJoe Rogan
