(drumming music) Joe Rogan podcast, check it out. The Joe Rogan Experience.

    2. JR

Train by day, Joe Rogan podcast by night, all day. (rock music) Did you ... I told you about the mountain lion that Colton and I saw in Utah?

    3. CH

      No, but I ... You didn't, but I heard-

    4. JR

      I didn't?

    5. CH

No. I heard you talking to Rinella.

    6. JR

      Yeah.

    7. CH

      Yeah, yeah.

    8. JR

      Dude.

    9. CH

      Yeah.

    10. JR

      It was giant.

    11. CH

You said it was huge, and you were in the truck.

    12. JR

It was huge. Oh, my God, I was scared in the truck.

    13. CH

      Yeah.

    14. JR

It was like a giant pumpkin head.

    15. CH

      Yeah.

    16. JR

It was huge. It was, uh, a 170-plus pound cat.

    17. CH

      Man.

    18. JR

      Like big, big cat.

    19. CH

      I've never seen one there-

    20. JR

      (laughs)

    21. CH

      ... but they're there.

    22. JR

I've only seen a little one, like a 60, 70 pound one running across a street in-

    23. CH

      Mm-hmm.

    24. JR

... Santa Barbara, and then one in Colorado I saw in the woods, like a glimpse.

    25. CH

      Mm-hmm.

    26. JR

      Quick glimpse.

    27. CH

      Mm-hmm.

    28. JR

It might even have been a bobcat, honestly, the one in, in Colorado. It was so quick. The one in-

    29. CH

      Yeah.

    30. JR

... Santa Barbara was definitely a mountain lion 'cause of the tail.

  2. 15:0030:00

    Yeah. …

    1. CH

      was in tatters.

    2. JR

      Yeah.

    3. CH

      God.

    4. JR

Yeah, it's, whoa, crazy fucking sport, man. And Canelo-

    5. CH

      Yeah.

    6. JR

We... The, the thing about Canelo that's so interesting to me is that Canelo's a big puncher, but he's also really skillful defensively.

    7. CH

      Mm-hmm.

    8. JR

That's usually not the case. Usually those big punchers, they kind of wade in and they throw bombs.

    9. CH

      Right.

    10. JR

And they're, they're so... They're concentrating so hard on connecting with a big shot that they don't have, like, the sort of defensive skills-

    11. CH

      Mm-hmm.

    12. JR

... that, like, a Floyd Mayweather has.

    13. CH

      Right.

    14. JR

Who was the best defensive fighter ever, in my opinion.

    15. CH

      Yeah.

    16. JR

But when he fought Floyd, I think he had such a hard time hitting Floyd that he realized, like, "Oh, I gotta develop these kinda skills."

    17. CH

      Mm-hmm.

    18. JR

And then if you see Canelo, like when he fought Danny Jacobs, and he's fought... In the second fight with Triple G too, like, he developed these kinda defensive skills-

    19. CH

      Mm-hmm.

    20. JR

... that he never had before.

    21. CH

      Yeah.

    22. JR

And they keep getting better. So now he's like one of the best defensive fighters in the world, and also-

    23. CH

      Crazy power.

    24. JR

... one of the best offensive fighters in the world.

    25. CH

      Yeah.

    26. JR

      It's amazing.

    27. CH

Yeah. The reason why I brought that up is 'cause Kamaru's definitely talking about he just wants a big f- money fights now.

    28. JR

      Yeah.

    29. CH

      So-

    30. JR

I get that. Well, he's probably g- like, a year away from a knee replacement.

  3. 30:0045:00

    Yeah. …

    1. JR

      gonna put this in there."

    2. CH

      Yeah.

    3. JR

"We're gonna put all this," and then-

    4. CH

      So free shit for everybody.

    5. JR

But then it all goes away.

    6. CH

      Yeah.

    7. JR

By the time the bill gets signed, all that stuff's gone. And it's like-

    8. CH

Yeah, but they can't get anything through.

    9. JR

Right. They can't get anything through. I don't think they wanted to get that through. I don't... I think with a lot of those things, they propose them so that all the progressive feels- feel really good.

    10. CH

      Oh, maybe.

    11. JR

And then once they get it into place, then the big corporate b- y- you know, machine behind it, like, "Hey, fuck face."

    12. CH

      Yeah.

    13. JR

"You're not passing any of that, right?"

    14. CH

      Right.

    15. JR

Like, "No, no, no, no, this is nonsense."

    16. CH

      (laughs) ... uh...

    17. JR

You ever see how big the bill is? It's like, this-

    18. CH

      Yeah. Oh.

    19. JR

      ... it's like, there's no way anyone's reading it.

    20. CH

      No.

    21. JR

One of the Republicans, a Republican senator held it up, and he was like, saying like, "Do you think Joe Biden's read this?"

    22. CH

      Oh my God.

    23. JR

"Do you, do you think Nancy Pelosi's read this?" They're not, they haven't read this.

    24. CH

      Don't you... I mean, politics.

    25. JR

      Gross.

    26. CH

      It's just exhausting.

    27. JR

      It's gross.

    28. CH

      It's, yeah.

    29. JR

It's the grossest thing in the world, other than murder and rape.

    30. CH

      (laughs)

  4. 45:001:00:00

    Yeah. …

    1. JR

bad, but we need to be accurate. Like, you can't not tell people about the negative response that some people have. You can't t- not tell people-

    2. CH

      Yeah.

    3. JR

      ... about the adverse reactions.

    4. CH

      Just, just say, "Hey, here's-"

    5. JR

      Say all of it.

    6. CH

"... what you're dealing with. You make the decision."

    7. JR

Yeah. It should be, you should know all of it.

    8. CH

      Yeah.

    9. JR

They should report on the deaths.

    10. CH

      Mm-hmm.

    11. JR

They should report on all these soccer players that are having fucking heart attacks.

    12. CH

      Yeah.

    13. JR

They should report on all these different things. Say what is going on, but also show all these people that got COVID and they were vaccinated and they survived and they're okay-

    14. CH

      Yeah.

    15. JR

... and maybe they wouldn't have.

    16. CH

      Yeah.

    17. JR

Show all these people that are older, show all these people with compromised immune systems.

    18. CH

      Just show your hand.

    19. JR

      Show everything.

    20. CH

Show your hand and then the-

    21. JR

      And, and don't f-

    22. CH

... the people make the decision.

    23. JR

Don't force people into taking this shit (clears throat) . That's where...

    24. CH

Like, and Biden is still pushing that ma- vaccine mandate for m- with em- employees or employers with over 100 people.

    25. JR

      Yeah.

    26. CH

You know, and like n- now they have till January 4th. And that, that could be the way I quit my job (laughs) because-

    27. JR

      Good. Good.

    28. CH

      ... there's more than-

    29. JR

I'm trying to get you to quit your job.

    30. CH

... more than 100 people where I work, and they've been, the general manager there has been pretty good about it. But it's like, they, they say, you know, if OSHA says this or it's a mandate, it's like, man, it's tough.

  5. 1:00:001:09:15

    Mm-hmm. …

    1. JR

you, you have to harden your mind too.

    2. CH

      Mm-hmm.

    3. JR

That's the most impressive thing about people like you and, um, uh, Goggins and these folks that do these endurance events. It's like, you gotta harden your mind-

    4. CH

      Yeah.

    5. JR

... if you're gonna run for three days.

    6. CH

Yeah. That's, that's definitely the hardest part.

    7. JR

      Mm-hmm.

    8. CH

Yeah. But... And they say, you know, I mean, where the change happens, it's like, b- being consecutive days of training, that's good, but it's over years. If you... Not very many people do it for years, you know what I mean?

    9. JR

      Right.

    10. CH

Everybody goes. They, they get all fired up, um, energized to do something, then that drops off. They might do it-

    11. JR

      Right.

    12. CH

... for a week, but then they drop.

    13. JR

Like folks who lose weight and then gain it back.

    14. CH

Yeah. I mean, but if you can just continue to put in the work, punch that time clock, for y- your life...... yeah, I mean, it can change dramatically.

    15. JR

      Yeah.

    16. CH

Your body will change. Your everything will change. Your, your, how you look at things changes, but it takes that consistent effort.

    17. JR

The consistency is so hard because there's a lot of comfort in those old patterns.

    18. CH

      Mm-hmm.

    19. JR

And even if the old patterns are just eating cake and watching TV, like some-

    20. CH

      Yeah.

    21. JR

... people just fall back to them, or drugs. Like some people, you know, they, they kick the pills and their life is doing good, and then they, they, they, you know, get to a point where they made a lot of improvement and then they'll slide right back into the pills again. You're like-

    22. CH

      Yeah.

    23. JR

... "Why? Why, you were doing so good. Why are you, why are you doing drugs again?"

    24. CH

      I know.

    25. JR

It's almost like that pattern is better for their brain because it's, they, it's, they know what happens when you do that-

    26. CH

      Mm-hmm.

    27. JR

... versus the open-ended possibilities of just going for it.

    28. CH

      Yeah.

    29. JR

Just trying to live a maximized life. Because if you do and you fail, the pain of that, it's difficult to deal with.

    30. CH

      Mm-hmm.
