    (drum roll) Joe Rogan podcast,…

    1. JR

(drum roll) Joe Rogan podcast, check it out.

    2. NA

The Joe Rogan Experience. Train by day, Joe Rogan podcast by night, all day. (energetic music) Yep. Adam Wayne, what's up baby?

    3. AR

      Joe Rogan.

    4. JR

      Good to see you, brother.

    5. AR

Dude, thanks for having me, man.

    6. JR

      My pleasure.

    7. AR

      This is a fucking pleasure.

    8. JR

How fun was this weekend, man? It was insane. (laughs)

    9. AR

It was, uh... Not since Cher was at the Garden has there been so much pandemonium.

    10. JR

(laughs) Bro, when Brian Holtz was screaming about Billy Joel. (laughs)

    11. AR

I love that you're going right to that, 'cause I was like, "How long are we gonna wait until we talk about Holtzman isolating the room?"

    12. JR

He was amazing! He was amazing. He, uh... Seeing him at The Comedy Store, which we've seen him many times- Yeah.

    13. AR

... and then at The Mothership now, seeing him in, in an arena like that go full on Holtzman is a real treat.

    14. JR

      16,000 people-

    15. AR

      Yeah.

    16. JR

... and he went just like he's in the OR.

    17. AR

He opened with, "Fuck Billy Joel." Yeah.

    18. JR

      (laughs)

    19. AR

And then he's like, "I don't care if you're famous here!"

    20. JR

      (laughs)

    21. AR

"It's your daughter! Fuck 'em! We get it! You play the fucking piano!"

    22. JR

      (laughs)

    23. AR

I mean, yeah. It was wild.

    24. JR

      He was amazing.

    25. AR

The surprises on that show, I wanna hear from your vantage point real quick, uh, from obviously doing arenas for a while now. A show like that, 'cause getting to see you for a moment before you walked out backstage and you were just like... It was cool to see you looking at it like, "What the fuck? This is wild."

    26. JR

I was blown away. First of all, I have seen Kill Tony evolve from the very beginning.

    27. AR

      Yeah.

    28. JR

So, I saw some of the earliest episodes in the Belly Room.

    29. AR

But you were telling me, Tony came to you and was like, "Will you do my show? I got this new..." And you were just like, "Yeah, fucking... All right, help a buddy out."

    30. JR

      (laughs) Yeah.

  2. 15:0030:00

    (laughs) …

    1. JR

I was thinking about that. I was like, I would, I, I remember when Opie and Anthony got s- they, they got taken off the air because they brought on a homeless guy who said some wild shit about Condoleezza Rice, like wanting to rape-

    2. AR

      (laughs)

    3. JR

... rape her or something fucking awful.

    4. AR

I like that this guy was like-

    5. JR

      They had no idea.

    6. AR

... at least in the know enough to know who was like-

    7. JR

Yeah, but he was just a-

    8. AR

      ... in the government.

    9. JR

      ... crazy, homeless guy.

    10. AR

      Right.

    11. JR

And Opie and Anthony was a wild show. I mean, those motherfuckers were, especially when they got on XM and they could say whatever the fuck they wanted. Oh, my God. Crazy.

    12. AR

Were they definitely at the, kind of the, the precipice of things kind of getting a little edgier?

    13. JR

      Yeah, but it-

    14. AR

      Radio wise?

    15. JR

They... So, an average gets 1,720,000 views.

    16. For Kimmel.

    17. That's for Jimmy Kimmel.

    18. Later this-

    19. Is the, the, so that-

    20. AR

      Oh, Fallon's almost-

    21. JR

      So, he's number one.

    22. AR

      1.5.

    23. JR

Oh, okay. Fallon is 1.4. Oh.

    24. AR

      Colbert's in the lead.

    25. JR

Colbert is in the lead with 2.5 million.

    26. AR

      Wow.

    27. JR

So, out of those people, how many of them are tuning in because it's just on TV?

    28. AR

      Sure.

    29. JR

There's a thing that people do. It's 11 o'clock, what's on? You know, especially boomers. They're locked in. That's what they've done their whole fucking life.

    30. AR

      Yeah.

  3. 30:0045:00

    Damn. …

    1. NA

got something to say... (crowd cheering) Say it to my face.

    2. AR

      Damn.

    3. JR

      Oh.

    4. AR

They knew it was coming. It's coming from my job.

    5. JR

      Oh, she nailed it.

    6. AR

      Yeah, she nailed that.

    7. JR

      She nailed that.

    8. AR

How, do, do you think there's-

    9. JR

      So that's... That, that alone-

    10. AR

      Yeah.

    11. JR

... can get you the president. This is, we're-

    12. AR

      Oof.

    13. JR

We're in idiocracy.... that alone, like she, that is-

    14. AR

Get a couple banger soundbites, right?

    15. JR

... very, lis- you can't say that's not outstanding.

    16. AR

      Totally.

    17. JR

She just crushed it. She crushed it.

    18. AR

      Yeah.

    19. JR

      She had the big moment.

    20. AR

Oh, I'm tuning in. This is pay-per-view now.

    21. JR

Y- she had the big moment and she crushed it.

    22. AR

      Yeah.

    23. JR

And she did it without any ums or stammers, no fucking missed words. She had a smile. The laugh made sense.

    24. AR

      (laughs)

    25. JR

      It made sense there.

    26. AR

      Yeah, yeah.

    27. JR

      For the first time.

    28. AR

      It was in context, yeah.

    29. JR

      When she laughs-

    30. AR

      Yeah.

  4. 45:001:00:00

    No, it's amazing. …

    1. AR

going, you're so ... You're thinking, you know, yeah, about the show and making people laugh, and I'm present and I'm ... And afterwards chatting with people and taking it in. But those ... Now that we have this opportunity to receive messages like that or hear it live in the face like that is, uh ... It's wild. I've never-

    2. JR

      No, it's amazing.

    3. AR

      Yeah.

    4. JR

      It really is amazing.

    5. AR

And it makes me so even more lucky to like be a part of it. And you look at something like Kill Tony, it's like ... And be- ... Having it be global. There's people in probably Beirut they're having a shit day that like saw (laughs) fucking Hans Kim and they're like-

    6. JR

      Right.

    7. AR

... "Dude, I always wanted to see Hans Kim in the Garden," or whatever their dream was, you know?

    8. JR

Well, yeah. It's- it's- it really is like a kind of medicine.

    9. AR

      Yeah.

    10. JR

It is for me, for sure. If someone makes me laugh, I feel way better.

    11. AR

When did you start getting like, uh, love like that in messages?

    12. JR

What I wanted to say though-

    13. AR

      Oh, yeah. I'm sorry.

    14. JR

... before I for- we got-

    15. AR

      Yeah.

    16. JR

      ... because I was going ... So-

    17. AR

      It's good weed.

    18. JR

Dice- Dice is embraced now by this class of comedians.

    19. AR

      Yeah. Oh, yeah.

    20. JR

To this group of comedians that are coming out, Dice was one of my heroes. When I was 19 years old, I mean, I was laughing so hard at his c- ... I was in his- ... in my car in front of my house with this girl I was dating. I was 19. We were listening to Dice on a cassette. We're just sitting in the front seat of my car just laughing. Ah!

    21. AR

      Oh my God.

    22. JR

It was so funny. I couldn't believe how funny it was. And it was just listening to it-

    23. AR

      Yeah.

    24. JR

      ... on a cassette.

    25. AR

      Yeah.

    26. JR

You know? And then as I became, you know, a comedian and a headliner and traveled and gone on TV, all this stuff, and I became friends with Dice and then I realized some comedians don't like Dice. I was like, "This is- this doesn't even make sense to me."

    27. AR

      (laughs) Yeah.

    28. JR

Like, "What are you guys talking about?" Like, the guy does legitimate performance art on the street. He does- ... For no money. He- he plans it out, he strategizes, and he makes these videos of him stumbling into people and-

    29. AR

      (laughs)

    30. JR

... telling them, "You want- you wanted the picture?"

  5. 1:00:001:03:10

    'Cause even that's a…

    1. JR

where... I was really exhausted. It was my third fight of the night too.

    2. AR

'Cause even that's a crapshoot, right? Like, y- when you're getting kicked in the head and you go down, or what- whatever it is that knocks you out-

    3. JR

      Yeah.

    4. AR

... it's still... Right? There's always the, oh, a couple centimeters to the left, and that would've actually-

    5. JR

No, he c- this guy caught me perfect on the jaw, and I think I had my mouth open, 'cause I think I was tired. 'Cause it was, like I said, it was the third fight of the day. And I remember being exhausted, 'cause I, I would get sick a lot of times before fights 'cause I would get nervous. So I'd get real nervous, and then your immune system drops-

    6. AR

      Wow.

    7. JR

... 'cause you're freaking out all the time.

    8. AR

      Fuck.

    9. JR

Yeah, and also you're cutting weight. I'd, I'd be cutting my calories down 'cause I was trying to compete at a different weight class.

    10. AR

But those nerves don't enter in the comedy. Like, before your, uh, live special, which I told you a couple days ago, but it was awesome.

    11. JR

      Thanks.

    12. AR

      And congrats.

    13. JR

      Thank you.

    14. AR

And also, I'm just...... I love, uh, doing it different, man. When Harlan Williams did a fucking (laughs) special outdoors in front of animals, I was like, "Fuck yeah."

    15. JR

      (laughs)

    16. AR

You know what I'm saying? (laughs)

    17. JR

      (laughs)

    18. AR

Doing something different. But the live thing is so not guaranteed, man. You're prepped, you're ready, you've, you've done live. But, like, still, you're, you're still, eh, it's still a new, uh, challenge, right? I mean-

    19. JR

Oh, it was, it... I said no to it at first.

    20. AR

      Right.

    21. JR

I was like, "I don't wanna do that. Fuck that." Because-

    22. AR

What put you over the top, and what... And what were the nerves like-

    23. JR

      'Cause I was-

    24. AR

      ... that were-

    25. JR

Well, what put me over the top was I was like, "Why are you scared, Buzzy?"

    26. AR

      (laughs) Yeah.

    27. JR

Like, this is like, "What do you like to do?"

    28. AR

      Yeah, yeah.

    29. JR

You like to do things that scare you.

    30. AR

      Yeah, yeah.
