(drumming music) Joe Rogan podcast, check it out. The Joe Rogan Experience.

    2. JR

Train by day, Joe Rogan podcast by night, all day. (rock music)

    3. MB

      (laughs)

    4. JR

Well, all right, we're up, Mr. Baker. How are you, sir? Good to see you.

    5. MB

Really? That's it? We're just jumping right in?

    6. JR

      Yeah.

    7. MB

Oh my God, I just sat down.

    8. JR

Well, there's so many things to talk about.

    9. MB

      Is there? Something... Anything happen?

    10. JR

A few things happened since I last saw you.

    11. MB

      (laughs)

    12. JR

      One guy got shot.

    13. MB

      Yeah, some guy.

    14. JR

And, uh, the guy who shot him, it just, his body vanished.

    15. MB

      Yeah.

    16. JR

      No t- no poli- (laughs)

    17. MB

Now, now did he get shot? Because I, I've, I've, I've seen a lot of people talk about this like, "No, he didn't get shot."

    18. JR

      That's hilarious.

    19. MB

      Oh my God.

    20. JR

Like do you think that he cut his ear like a pro wrestler?

    21. MB

      Yeah.

    22. JR

      "I got shot."

    23. MB

      Yeah.

    24. JR

Like it's all fake. The guy behind him who got murdered, that wasn't real?

    25. MB

I saw... Exce- that w- again, you know, you would think that would be a clue, but I've, I've seen people who would say, "No, he didn't have any blood on him. And then he ducked down behind the podium just long enough."

    26. JR

      (laughs)

    27. MB

And I'm thinking, "Are you fucking psycho?"

    28. JR

      They are psycho.

    29. MB

Yeah, but, you know, but then, you know, to be fair then... Well, no, that can't be fair. How can you be fair about that?

    30. JR

      There's no fair.

  2. 15:0030:00

    Well, she had that…

    1. MB

      and, and, uh, you know-

    2. JR

Well, she had that one speech where she really fucking nailed it. When she was talking about Trump, and this is after Trump even got shot, when she didn't even address the fact that we have to be more tolerant and, y- you know-

    3. MB

      You mean that teleprompter speech.

    4. JR

Yeah. That teleprompter speech, she fucking nailed it.

    5. MB

      Yeah.

    6. JR

She nailed it. But when you get her off teleprompter, she's fucked.

    7. MB

      Yeah.

    8. JR

      She's fucked.

    9. MB

Well, I, I don't know this, and this is sheer speculation on my part, but I would be suspicious-

    10. JR

      I love your speculation.

    11. MB

      (laughs) I, I know.

    12. JR

      (laughs)

    13. MB

(laughs) As opposed to all the other times that I'm not speculating.

    14. JR

      I don't need facts.

    15. MB

Um, yeah. Uh, but there's a chance maybe that they will know the questions for tomorrow night's interview ahead of time.

    16. JR

      Oh, come on.

    17. MB

      I know. I know.

    18. JR

Do you think CNN would do that?

    19. MB

Mm... You're right. I, I take it back because I'm sure it will be a series of hard-hitting questions, and they won't let her get away with anything, and, uh, it's all gonna work out fine. Look, all she's got to do is beat the Biden debate bar, and people are gonna say, "Yeah, she nailed it."

    20. JR

Yeah. Well, they're supposed to have a debate, right, on ABC.

    21. MB

      September 10th.

    22. JR

      Which is gonna be interesting.

    23. MB

      Yeah.

    24. JR

And isn't the woman who moderates it a part of the Biden-Harris Administration?

    25. MB

Oh, my God. I didn't know that.

    26. JR

Who i- who is the woman... W- she has some sort of a connection to the Biden-Harris Administration? The woman who is... Find that out, Jamie. The woman who's moderating the ABC debate.

    27. MB

      Is it Joe Biden?

    28. JR

      (laughs) You did great, Joe!

    29. MB

      (laughs)

    30. JR

      You answered all the questions!

  3. 30:0045:00

    Right. …

    1. MB

so, yeah, I mean, that could be, that could be it, but again, the bottom line is (laughs) the, the whole process, command and control, resource deployment, communications process, all of it just completely fucked up on that, on that day. And usually, when you have a problem with that magnitude with security, it's never just one thing. It's a series of things that compound.

    2. JR

      Right.

    3. MB

And, you know... But then, you know, the Acting Director Rowe, you know, he goes up there and, you know, earl- it's, it was a few weeks back now, but when he first showed up to say, "I'm the acting director and I'm going up to Capitol Hill and answer your questions," which he didn't really do, um, you know, they were talking about, "Well, it's, it's al- it's almost impossible to, to get all the elements talking on the same frequency," right? The local police are talking on their frequency, Secret Service talking on their frequency, counter-sniper teams, maybe they're operating on a different channel. You know, you, you can't combine those. Well, of course you can.I- I- I- I'm just telling you for a fact (laughs) that you can ... There are capabilities (laughs) uh, out there and available to allow you to get everybody talking on the same sheet of music at an event like that.

    4. JR

      Of course.

    5. MB

      And ... Yeah.

    6. JR

      To say otherwise is nonsense.

    7. MB

Yeah, yeah. And it's- and it's also, yeah, it defies logic, but it also ... And that- I think that was the thing about this, is why people were so shocked, is because you didn't have to- to be a security expert to look at this thing in real time.

    8. JR

Well, how about the sloped roof thing?

    9. MB

      Yeah. Oh, God. (laughs)

    10. JR

"We couldn't get agents up there because the roof was sloped."

    11. MB

      (laughs) Yeah.

    12. JR

"And it could be dangerous." And it sloped by five degrees.

    13. MB

Yeah, that was- that was the nail in her coffin when she came out with that bullshit, um ...

    14. JR

It was ... The whole thing was insane because you had snipers on another roof, so what are you talking about?

    15. MB

Yeah. You had- you had, uh, what did they have? Two counter-sniper teams and ... But again, when you go out to a place like that and you walk the grounds and you stand and you survey, right, and you- you fly drones around and you- you get a real sense of what you're talking about. In the early stages of a survey or an assessment like that, um, there are just certain things you look for.

    16. JR

      Right.

    17. MB

You know? Okay, there's the stage. There's a tall building (laughs) over there.

    18. JR

Right. How about the water tower?

    19. MB

Yeah, how about the water tower? Maybe we cover that down too.

    20. JR

      Yeah.

    21. MB

And, uh ... But, and- and, you know, and I think the transparency that we have on this right now is pretty much thanks to the local law enforcement. I mean, that's where we've gotten most of our information, right?

    22. JR

      Right.

    23. MB

They've shared body cam images, they've shared, uh-

    24. JR

      Yeah.

    25. MB

... radio, uh, conversations. And I think in part they're doing it because they're so pissed off, right?

    26. JR

      Yeah, well, they-

    27. MB

      Yeah.

    28. JR

Their conversations were about how they saw this guy in advance and they alerted people. He was walking around with a fucking range finder.

    29. MB

(laughs) Yeah, yeah, yeah. You think-

    30. JR

      That's it.

  4. 45:001:00:00

    Yeah, yeah. …

    1. JR

Fear Factor after September 11th, and everybody was so nice. They were so ... And firemen were treated like fucking heroes.

    2. MB

      Yeah, yeah.

    3. JR

Firemen got laid more than any other time. (laughs)

    4. MB

      (laughs)

    5. JR

I mean, everybody wanted to bag a fireman.

    6. MB

      (laughs)

    7. JR

They wanted to help those guys out, and-

    8. MB

Yeah, I grew a mustache and pretended I was a fireman for a while. Yeah.

    9. JR

All the first responders, cops, EMT guys, they all got mad respect.

    10. MB

      Yeah.

    11. JR

And everybody was a lot more peaceful and civil. And in No- ... Los Angeles, it was palpable. You had ph- ... American flags on everyone's car.

    12. MB

      Yep, yep.

    13. JR

It was, it was kinda cool.

    14. MB

And then you had the same with the, with the military, right?

    15. JR

      Yeah.

    16. MB

I mean, shortly after, and then we went into Tora Bora, and then, and then that, that whole thing kicked off. And ... But there was a period of time, you're, you're, you're right. And usually, not that you want something like that to happen, um, I mean, look at the, look at the pandemic. I mean, the pandemic brought people together for a while. People were so nice to you. Uh-

    17. JR

      Uh-

    18. MB

      Yeah. (laughs)

    19. JR

In the beginning, every- ... I thought it was gonna be like 9/11-

    20. MB

      Yeah.

    21. JR

... where everyone's gonna realize, "Hey, we're all together in this. Let's help each other out. Let's get through this."

    22. MB

      Yeah, that didn't last.

    23. JR

      No. Well, it-

    24. MB

      No, no.

    25. JR

P- ... The thing that didn't last is in spite of all the evidence that it's not as bad as everybody's saying it is, everybody wanted to say, "It's killing everybody."

    26. MB

      Right.

    27. JR

Like, did you see Kamala Harris' speech-

    28. MB

      Right.

    29. JR

... where she said 220 million-

    30. MB

      Yeah.

  5. 1:00:001:09:16

    And you can't fucking…

    1. MB

    2. JR

And you can't fucking do that if you care about America. If you really are a patriot, you can't do that.

    3. MB

We had a moment in time with the pandemic where, obviously, you had to make some adjustments to the way that people could vote, right? To, to accommodate the fact that you had a once-in-a-generation hopefully pandemic. And then I'm sure we're gonna have another one, goddammit. The WHO has declared a global health crisis for Africa for monkeypox.

    4. JR

      They've released that. They stopped.

    5. MB

      They stopped it?

    6. JR

      Yeah.

    7. MB

      Okay, okay. Good.

    8. JR

      Let's try because I think-

    9. MB

      Yeah, yeah.

    10. JR

... let's look at that because I think that's also because of pushback. 'Cause people are like, "What... First of all, what are you talking about?"

    11. MB

      Yeah.

    12. JR

      "Uh, who's getting this?"

    13. MB

Yeah, yeah. Um, well, it's, uh (laughs) ... They... I, I think they even pushed back on the f- on the f- on the f- on the, the name monkeypox. So I don't know-

    14. JR

      It's Mpox.

    15. MB

      Mpox.

    16. JR

      Yeah.

    17. MB

      Mpox, okay.

    18. JR

      'Cause it's offensive to monkeys.

    19. MB

      Okay, Mpox.

    20. JR

      To blame them for this.

    21. MB

      So, yeah. So-

    22. JR

Well, it was a primarily, uh, an issue with the gay community in the beginning. So, in the beginning when they tried to call it a national health, uh, emergency, they tried to do this a couple of years ago. In the middle of COVID when people were starting to be a little bit more active-

    23. MB

      Right.

    24. JR

... and less worried about COVID, they tried to push this monkeypox thing.

    25. MB

      Yeah.

    26. JR

But it's only four people died from it.

    27. MB

      Yeah.

    28. JR

And it was, uh, primarily spread sexually.

    29. MB

Yeah, and they have a... They did say that the, the most recent, which was just, you know, within the past couple of weeks, I believe, um, alert, uh, or crisis alert for the entire, uh, continent of Africa was, was, uh... Because it was more, uh, virulent. It was more, it was more, uh, aggressive.

    30. JR

I think they're saying it's spread airborne now.
