Why Mighty Mouse Is Still Elite at 36: Training, mindset, and foundations

    1. NA

(drumming music) Joe Rogan podcast, check it out.

    2. DJ

      The Joe Rogan Experience.

    3. JR

Train by day, Joe Rogan podcast by night, all day. (rock music) What's happening, my friend? Good to see you.

    4. DJ

What's happening? Good to see you too.

    5. JR

      Good to see you.

    6. DJ

      Good to see you.

    7. JR

Good to see you thriving out there in the world.

    8. DJ

Just trying to do my best.

    9. JR

      Dude, you're killing it.

    10. DJ

      (laughs)

    11. JR

It's beautiful, beautiful. That comeback win was fucking fantastic.

    12. DJ

      Thanks, man.

    13. JR

It was, it was great to see.

    14. DJ

      Thank you.

    15. JR

How the fuck are you still so good? You haven't slipped at all.

    16. DJ

Uh, honestly, I think it's just the training, um, my mindset, uh, the team around me, and just honestly trying to get better every single time I step in the cage.

    17. JR

The lighter weight classes though, I've always felt like there's a short window of excellence.

    18. DJ

      Yeah.

    19. JR

You know? Like, even in boxing it seems like it's, like, nine, 10 years at peak form, but you defy that.

    20. DJ

      (laughs)

    21. JR

You know, you really do, man.

    22. DJ

      Yeah.

    23. JR

You're still, like, as good as ever.

    24. DJ

It could be because I'm Black, could be my genetics. I, I have no idea. Um, I, I, I-

    25. JR

It's, uh, it can't just be that-

    26. DJ

      (laughs)

    27. JR

... 'cause there's a lot of people that are also Black that haven't been able to do that.

    28. DJ

      Yeah, that's true.

    29. JR

I think it's, I think what you're saying is that it's also technique, your technique has always been paramount, you know, it's always like the, the forefront of everything.

    30. DJ

I honestly believe it's probably just the, my upbringing in mixed martial arts, right? And e- even, you know, I was talking to people the other day and they said, I started when I was 18, like, in m- martial arts. If, if you count, some people don't count wrestling as a m- uh, as a martial arts.

  2. 2:327:35

Rodtang special-rules breakdown: surviving Muay Thai, winning in MMA

    1. JR

Well, I think that really helped you in that mixed fight with Ruoteng.

    2. DJ

      Oh, yeah.

    3. JR

Because that, that was a wild proposition. I was like, "Whoa."

    4. DJ

      Yeah.

    5. JR

"This is gonna be interesting." And props to him for taking that.

    6. DJ

      Oh, 1,000%.

    7. JR

Because he had to know after round one, "Who's coming, fuck?"

    8. DJ

I was getting that ass after round one.

    9. JR

      (laughs)

    10. DJ

Well, so when he offered that to me, I was like, I was on the couch with my wife and then-

    11. JR

We should explain to everybody what the rules were.

    12. DJ

Okay. Yeah. So the rules were the first round, so if you guys don't know who Ruoteng is, he's one of the best, probably the best Muay Thai fighters in the world. Um, people put him at pound for pound, I mean...

    13. JR

      He's a fucking beast.

    14. DJ

Y- yeah. He just walks through these people, like, two shots.

    15. JR

      He's a beast, dude.

    16. DJ

So the first round was Muay Thai. I could not grapple, I could not, you know... Yeah, so right here when they, uh, when he broke me up, I was trying to lock him up like a body lock, like a take down.

    17. JR

      Was it a three-minute round or a five-minute round?

    18. DJ

Three-minute round, right? And so the first round was M- Muay Thai and the second round was MMA, fourth round was gonna be, uh, third round was gonna be Muay Thai and the fourth round was MMA. So I knew the first round was gonna be, you know, very difficult. But right there, as you see, I'm trying to hold him. I, I can't, like, I literally was opening my hands and not trying to grab him as I would if it was MMA.

    19. JR

Mm. Were you allowed to clinch? Because Muay Thai involves a lot of clinch war. Were you, what was the rules there?

    20. DJ

So you, you are allowed to clinch, but if you watch any of the Muay Thai in ONE Championship, they don't actually, I feel they don't give the athletes enough time to actually fight and dominate in the clinch.

    21. JR

I feel the same way because I was watching Ruoteng's last fight and he was just... Yeah, they kept breaking him up.

    22. DJ

And they break him, they break him up immediately. And I'm like, "Stop." Like, Muay T-

    23. JR

Why do you think they do that?

    24. DJ

      I don't know. I don't, I don't know.

    25. JR

They're trying to make it more action packed?

    26. DJ

More, more action packed and probably push the, the, um, just, just the action, right? But for me, I feel like in Muay Thai, if somebody can be very dominant in the clinch, then that's, that's part of the s- that's part of the sport, right?

    27. JR

How dangerous did you feel him in the first round?

    28. DJ

Um, he, uh, I think the last time I got rocked in any of my fights was probably John Dodson and he gave me that same feeling again. (laughs)

    29. JR

      Mm-hmm.

    30. DJ

So, but, uh, it was fun. You know, it was fun just exchanging with him. And I think, you know, having this fight was, uh, good for my career and good for my confidence. And, you know, to come off a loss against, you know, Adriano (clears throat) and then come back and fight another tough strike, striker-

  3. 7:3514:04

From UFC champion to ONE: the trade, Askren, and why competition matters

    1. JR

The... One of the things that's very interesting about ONE FC is how they're just really mixing everything up.

    2. DJ

      Mm-hmm.

    3. JR

      They've got grappling matches.

    4. DJ

      Yep.

    5. JR

      You know, Mikey Musumeci's-

    6. DJ

      Mm-hmm.

    7. JR

... over there competing, and Garry Tonon, the Ruotolo brothers. It's like, it's very wild what they're doing. They're having Muay Thai matches, kickboxing matches.

    8. DJ

Mm-hmm. That, we had one boxing match, um, which was for a WBC title, so-

    9. JR

      Really?

    10. DJ

Oh, yeah. It was, um, I believe it was-

    11. JR

      Boxing gloves?

    12. DJ

      Boxing gloves. Full blown boxing.

    13. JR

      Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

    14. DJ

Like, it was, uh, world, uh, world title fight.

    15. JR

      Mm-hmm.

    16. DJ

Um, that's one of the things I love about ONE Championship is that they're mixing it up, right? So when I got the opportunity to go over there and compete, like, I knew I had the opportunity to do something fun like I did with Rod Tang, right?

    17. JR

Now, was it difficult to make that decision to leave the UFC? Because you, you were, you know, coming off of a very close, controversial loss to Henry Cejudo.

    18. DJ

      Mm-hmm.

    19. JR

      Very close fight.

    20. DJ

      Yeah, yeah, yeah.

    21. JR

You know, it was like mostly the wrestling is... A couple take downs that he got.

    22. DJ

Yeah, it was a couple take downs, um, and I think I relied too much on the leg kicks. Like, I, like, in that fight, I couldn't get him down to the ground. Um, the striking scene on the feet, like with the hands, it seemed like it was pretty even. I was... I think I out-landed him, like when you look at the strike, strike, combi box strike numbers, but I felt like I relied too much on the leg kicks 'cause I was, I was fucking tearing those legs up, like-

    23. JR

Well, you hurt his leg real bad in that first round.

    24. DJ

      Yes.

    25. JR

He got that drop foot thing going on.

    26. DJ

Yep, yep. He had the drop thing going on, but I was like, I couldn't get there with the hands, right? I couldn't knock him out with the hands, so I was like, "You know, I'm gonna tear your, I'm gonna take your leg, I'm gonna tear your leg up." Kept on tearing the leg up and when the fight ended and I was like, "Ah, he probably got it." Well, I was like, "He, he, he beat me." And then they read the scorecard and I was like, "Huh, it is what it is. Like, what are you gonna do?" So when I-

    27. JR

So what was the decision after that? Like, what was that like?

    28. DJ

Yeah. So, it was frustrating, um, but then, you know, at the time I was like, "I wonder if I could do something different." Right? 'Cause I was going in the back and at this time, Malki, Malki was in, uh, managing me. He still is, uh, professional manager is. And I was like... He was like, "You tell me what you wanna do, bro. You know, just let me know and w-we'll figure it out." And I was like, "I wonder if I could get out of my contract." I was like, "You know, try to do something different." 'Cause at the time I looked at it this way, if I were to fight Henry Cejudo again for the third time, it, it could've gone either of two ways. One, I beat Henry, then I'm still stuck in the same situation I am right now when at the time they were trying to get rid of... They were in talks about getting rid of the flyweight division, right? Or two, if I lose to Henry, then I'm still stuck in the same position I just lost to him again. So why not see if I can go explore other options, right? And then that's when the trade talks came about.

    29. JR

And so the UFC just said, "Fine, go ahead"?

    30. DJ

Well, there was more to it, right? I mean, obviously, um, you know, Chacha just, you know, talked about it. It was, uh... I heard you had something to do with it as well. Like-

  4. 14:0421:58

ONE’s global talent pool—and the steel cup debate

    1. JR

And what you're seeing now with ONE FC is these world-class fucking guys. Who's that guy that just fought John Lineker and broke his cup?

    2. DJ

      Uh, Fabricio Andrade.

    3. JR

      Fucking beast-

    4. DJ

      He's...

    5. JR

      ... man. Fucking beast.

    6. DJ

      He's nasty. He's a nasty man.

    7. JR

      Fucking beast.

    8. DJ

      (laughs)

    9. JR

And, and I'm like, look, man, these guys are out there.

    10. DJ

      Oh, yeah.

    11. JR

The thing is, like, there's only so many slots in the UFC.

    12. DJ

      Yep.

    13. JR

And every now and then a guy like Shavkat Rakhmonov comes on, along and you're like, "Where the fuck this guy come from?"

    14. DJ

      Yep.

    15. JR

Well, those dudes are out there in the world.

    16. DJ

      Oh, yeah. Yeah.

    17. JR

They're kickboxers, they're sambo guys, they're jiu-jitsu guys. They're out there in the world.

    18. DJ

Yeah. I think, um, Fabricio Andrade's absolutely amazing.

    19. JR

      Ooh.

    20. DJ

And that fight he had with John Lineker, like-

    21. JR

Bro, he was putting the boots to Lineker.

    22. DJ

Yeah, and he was timing that fucking... 'cause John Lineker-

    23. JR

      Mm-hmm.

    24. DJ

... he throws punches straight hardly-

    25. JR

      Yeah.

    26. DJ

... but it's usually the wild winged punches, right?

    27. JR

      Yeah.

    28. DJ

And with Fabricio being so much taller than him, he's able to, you know, have good f-

    29. JR

      Mm-hmm.

    30. DJ

... good rhythm, throw that, throw that lead punch.

  5. 21:5823:34

The internet: brutal content, but a goldmine for learning technique

    1. JR

But on the plus side, like, if you're a martial artist, your access to techniques-

    2. DJ

      Oh, it's-

    3. JR

      ... is off the charts.

    4. DJ

      100%.

    5. JR

Like when you started, when you were 18 years old.

    6. DJ

      Mm-hmm.

    7. JR

Like, uh, what year was that?

    8. DJ

      I'll say 2006.

    9. JR

      Yeah, there wasn't nearly-

    10. DJ

      Nothing.

    11. JR

      ... as much available.

    12. DJ

      Mm-hmm.

    13. JR

      There was some.

    14. DJ

      Yeah.

    15. JR

It was definitely better than like starting in the '90s.

    16. DJ

      Oh, yeah, 2006.

    17. JR

But what the fuck, man? There's so much information now on technique and on, you could watch so many different styles.

    18. DJ

      Mm-hmm.

    19. JR

So many different people competing, both in Muay Thai and Jujitsu and wrestling and everything.

    20. DJ

Yep. Well, it's funny 'cause, uh, when I'm grappling in my gi, I'll come back, I'll see something on Instagram, I'm like, "Okay, I see that. Okay." And I'll come to the gym, I'm like, "Oh, ha, success, it works." And then I'll get them in a choke and I'm like, I'm like, "I learned that on Instagram." They're like, "Shut the hell up." And I'm like, "Swear to God, just this morning." Um, but yeah, I think the internet, the internet can be a good place, it can be a horrible place, right?

    21. JR

      Yeah.

    22. DJ

And I think, you know, you-

    23. JR

      Well, that's humans.

    24. DJ

      Well, that's true. Humans are-

    25. JR

Humans can be good or they can be horrible.

    26. DJ

      1000%.

    27. JR

      The internet is just information.

    28. DJ

Yeah. So I think there's great information on the internet to get, you know, techniques, to see how somebody done a certain move or-

    29. JR

      Yeah.

    30. DJ

... how they're manipulating or shit, to fix a car as well, right?

  6. 23:3426:14

ONE on Amazon Prime and why mixed events work

    1. JR

But, uh, the ... So, uh, w- one is also streaming, right?

    2. DJ

      Yeah.

    3. JR

      They stream on-

    4. DJ

      That-

    5. JR

Is it on Amazon Prime now?

    6. DJ

      Amazon Prime. That is-

    7. JR

      That's great.

    8. DJ

      ... that is amazing.

    9. JR

      That's great.

    10. DJ

Amazing. Like, after the TNT deal, uh, I think we did four fights on TNT. Um, I felt like TNT was really focused on AEW, right? Like, every single time you go on TNT, it was always AE- AEW, AEW.

    11. JR

      Mm-hmm.

    12. DJ

Using us, I felt using us as a launcher platform to bring more fans to AEW from my perspective. But like when the deal s- when the deal happened with Amazon, I didn't know it did. And then, you know, there was talks about like, "Hey, we just landed a brand new US broadcast deal."

    13. JR

      Mm.

    14. DJ

And I was like, "Okay, who could it be? Is it, is it, you know, YouTube? Who, who, who is it?" And to see it was actually Amazon, Amazon, I was like, "Oh, this is a, this is a fucking game changer."

    15. JR

It is if Amazon gets behind it.

    16. DJ

      It is. They are.

    17. JR

Th- are they getting behind it in terms of like publicity and ...

    18. DJ

      1000%.

    19. JR

      Yeah, that's good.

    20. DJ

      I mean-

    21. JR

'Cause they have so much... It's such a weird platform because you also can buy shoes.

    22. DJ

      Yep.

    23. JR

You know, you could buy fucking jumper caperals.

    24. DJ

      You can buy anything.

    25. JR

      You can buy anything.

    26. DJ

You can buy a kidney on fucking Amazon.

    27. JR

And, but if you have Amazon Prime, which like most people do-

    28. DJ

      Yep.

    29. JR

      ... you also have access-

    30. DJ

      Mm-hmm.

  7. 26:1431:40

Pure kickboxing vs MMA realities: the Rodtang round-two lesson

    1. DJ

Yeah. The biggest thing that I love about ONE Championship is, like, the... Everybody says, "Oh, man," you know, "The striking's unbelievable." But I was like, "No, dude." Like, you wanna see some high level of fucking striking, like, Suberban, Georgio. My favorite person to watch that's just pure kickboxing is Hiro Akimoto.

    2. JR

      Mm.

    3. DJ

Like, I was there live when he won the, the belt. I think it was, um... It was in Singapore. I was sitting there watching it and I was like, "Oh, my God." Like, this man, he... Like, his ba-ba-ba-kick and he, and he would block and then fire back immediately. And I'm like-

    4. JR

      Mm.

    5. DJ

... "Fucking A, man." I was like, "Absolutely amazing." Like, just, I'm blown away.

    6. JR

Well, that's one of the also the beautiful things about what they're doing at ONE is that you get to see striking with no grappling.

    7. DJ

      No grappling.

    8. JR

So you get to see with the l- most elite expression.

    9. DJ

      Exactly. The purest form.

    10. JR

      Yes.

    11. DJ

The purest form of, of striking. Like, these two guys, that's all we... We don't play on the ground, we don't grapple. It's pure striking.

    12. JR

      Yeah.

    13. DJ

And that's, like, one of the things I love to watch is, like, when I'm sitting there and people are like, "Oh, man, what do you like to watch?" Well, obviously I like to watch, you know, mixed martial arts, but when I get the chance to watch, like, high level, like, kickboxing, especially heavyweights who move fast.

    14. JR

      Mm.

    15. DJ

Like, I don't know the gentleman's name. There's a kickboxer at ONE, he's fucking massive and he's got fucking six-pack and he's got good pecs and he's just... He looks like a superhero.

    16. JR

      Mm-hmm.

    17. DJ

And he's like, "Ba-ba-bap. High kick. Uppercut. Right hand." I was like, "Oh, my God. This is amazing." That's the one of the things I love about w- with ONE Championship, is just, you get the purest of the form of the martial arts.

    18. JR

But then in contrast, you get to see-

    19. DJ

      There he is!

    20. JR

      (laughs)

    21. DJ

      That. Look at him!

    22. JR

      Let me see that again.

    23. DJ

Built like a fucking superhero. Bop. Look at, look at that.

    24. JR

      Jesus. Who is that dude?

    25. DJ

      Fuck.

    26. JR

Roman K rilly... Krill- Krek- Krickla? How do you say...

    27. DJ

      Kryklika.

    28. JR

      Kricklika?

    29. DJ

      Yeah. Yeah.

    30. JR

      God damn.

  8. 31:4053:31

How the Rodtang fight was negotiated—and ONE’s backstage culture

    1. DJ

That's why I love... Like I said, that's why I love that when they offered me that fight, at the beginning, they were like, "Hey, we want you to fight Rungviser for the Muay Thai world championship." I was like, "Guys, I'm very, I'm very grateful and very appalled, but I-"

    2. JR

      (laughs)

    3. DJ

      I-

    4. JR

They're trying to kill you. (laughs)

    5. DJ

(laughs) They're trying to kill you. They do shit like that over there, dude. They give, uh, they... You know, when, um, Saryukian? When, uh, Eddie Alvarez fought Saryukian? (sighs) Saryukian.

    6. JR

That's the dude who knocked him out.

    7. DJ

      In one championship?

    8. JR

      Yes.

    9. DJ

Uh, who blew his eyeball up?

    10. JR

The, the dude, the first dude he fought over there.

    11. DJ

      Um, uh, Timothy Nasyanukin.

    12. JR

      Oh, yeah.

    13. DJ

      Yeah.

    14. JR

      I'm thinking of r-... Yeah, that's right.

    15. DJ

      Yeah.

    16. JR

I'm thinking of a different guy.

    17. DJ

Yeah, yeah, but blew his eyeball up, right?

    18. JR

The, uh, the names sound the same.

    19. DJ

      Yeah, Timothy Na-

    20. JR

      Yeah.

    21. DJ

I just ca-... I think of Nasyanukin.

    22. JR

      Yeah, Nasyanukin.

    23. DJ

So, Na-... Na-... I call him Nas-... Mr. Nasty, but, but yeah.

    24. JR

      He is nasty.

    25. DJ

      Um, yeah, so-

    26. JR

But he's another one of those guys, like, you never heard of him.

    27. DJ

You've never heard of him, right?

    28. JR

But then you watch him fight. Fi- find that fight. We... You never seen before but you w-

    29. DJ

      Yeah.

    30. JR

Let's go, go before the KO. But when you see him fight, you're like, "Jesus Christ, outta nowhere."

  9. 53:3159:51

Trash talk that actually motivated him: Dodson, Ray Borg, and the flying armbar

    1. JR

But, so, w- who was it that, like, ta- trash-talked you the most before a fight?

    2. DJ

Mm, I think, uh, I think the two people was probably John Dodson, the second fight, and, uh, Ray Borg. Ray Borg.

    3. JR

      Mm-hmm.

    4. DJ

Um, I remember when I fought John Dodson he said I was boring, X, Y and Z. And so that fight I was like, "All right, I'm just gonna take you to you." Like, when he kicked me in the balls and, like, he kicked me and I was like, "No, no, no, no, no, no, no. No break. You don't get no fucking break at all." And he goes, "Oh, oh, okay. Whatever." Even though it hurt, but you got that steel cup on, so you, you ... It takes some of that absorption.

    5. JR

      Yeah.

    6. DJ

Um, but when he said to me, he was, like, being boring, I was like, "Okay, I'm just gonna push the pace. Like, I'm just gonna try to drown you." Right? And obviously I wanted to get the finish, but wasn't able to get it. And then Ray Borg, he said, um, my wrestling wasn't good. Right? And so I made it a point that I'm gonna out-scramble you in that fight. Like, every single scramble, I made sure I won that scramble 'cause he said I can out-scramble you.

    7. JR

Bro, that finish was one of the wildest submissions I've ever seen.

    8. DJ

      (laughs)

    9. JR

Suplex to armbar in the air.

    10. DJ

      Yeah.

    11. JR

In the air you caught him. And then when you told me that you practiced that.

    12. DJ

      Yep.

    13. JR

And that you hit that in practice. I mean, that is wi- ... That is one of the wildest finishes I've ever seen.

    14. DJ

      Thanks, man. Yeah.

    15. JR

      It was beautiful.

    16. DJ

Yeah, when, uh, it got did to me first ... Um, Matt, he did it to me. And he caught me and I was like, "What the f- " I was like, "What the fuck was that?" He goes, "Well, you're getting so good now, I can't just do a basic armbar. Like, I have to, I have to, um, experiment essentially." And so when he did it ... When he did it to me, I was like, "Okay, you have to teach it to me." So I would do it and I'd do it and he says, "You know what your biggest weakness is, Dej?" I'm like, "What?" He goes, "You think. Stop thinking and just do." And then when I was in the fight-

    17. JR

That's some Bruce Lee shit right there.

    18. DJ

Y- yeah, man, it is (laughs) , right?

    19. JR

Here it is. Let's take a look at it. Boom! The way you get that-

    20. DJ

      (laughs)

    21. JR

That was, that was so wild, man.

    22. DJ

      Yeah.

    23. JR

      That was so wild.

    24. DJ

Yeah, uh, it, it's funny because he said, um, "Stop, stop thinking. Just do. Just let your body do what it, it knows what to do." And we just learned how to, um ... Matt was teaching ... Matt teaches in concept, which I love, and he said that-... if somebody's holding onto weight, right, if, if somebody's trying to be extremely heavy, you can't m-... it's gonna be a lot harder to move somebody, right? But if you can get them to move their weight or sh-shift their weight a certain way, then they're lighter. And I was like, "That's what he was teaching-

    25. JR

      Mm-hmm.

    26. DJ

... at that time." So in that fight, uh, I had Ray Borg's back, and he's being heavy. He's trying to, like, he knows I'm gonna try to get a take-down. He's trying to be heavy, so I said, "Okay, he's..." In my mind, I was like, "Okay, he's heavy right now." I was like, "Okay, y- I have to make him shift his weight. I don't wanna shift his weight. He needs to shift the weight." So I kept kneeing him and kneeing him and kneeing him and then once he went, like, bop, I was like, "Perfect. You just shifted your weight f... Go back, Jamie. If you get to ver-" Yeah, nah. Th- that's sex stuff. Don't-

    27. JR

      (laughs)

    28. DJ

      Um-

    29. JR

      As far as

    30. NA

      As hard as it goes.

Adriano Moraes rematch: perfect timing, revenge symmetry, and ‘walk-off’ confidence

    1. JR

So boom. It goes down, and you just knew.

    2. DJ

      I-

    3. JR

      You didn't even follow up.

    4. DJ

I threw everything I had into that knee. Like, I threw everything I had into it, and I knew that it was... it was... and if, and if, and if it wasn't, if he got back up, he'd get up, and he goes... like, even that fight, like, there's a part where I shot, and then he, he defends with take-down 'cause he's so fucking long, and he starts kneeing their head, right? And I'm like, "Oh, sh-..." like, "Oh, shit. Oh, shit," in my mind. And then when he's switching over for the darts, I said, "I'm not fucking done yet," and I, I got up, and then I s-... I kept on fighting. So if he was to see the same thing, got up and goes, "I'm not done yet," I'm like, "Perfect. I still got more energy to give you." So...

    5. JR

That right hand was so perfect too, the timing of that.

    6. DJ

      Uh-huh. Yeah.

    7. JR

And the knee on the fucking cheekbone.

    8. DJ

Yeah. It was a good fight.

    9. JR

      It was a beautiful fight.

    10. DJ

      Yeah.

    11. JR

And i- how satisfying was that for you to come back from the first fight that you guys had?

    12. DJ

It was good. Um, it was good, but (laughs) that guy's face on the right. (laughs)

    13. JR

      (laughs)

Letting go of perfection: grief, perspective, and fighting with less pressure

    1. DJ

I think it's the Matchmaker Rick. He's hilarious. Um, for me, after the r-... after the first fight I had with him, I went through, like, I think 2019. Uh, I think it was 2019, 2000... 2020 was a huge, like, m- shift in my life, you know, that affected me differently and my mindset. And so when I lost that first fight to him, I was so... wasn't mad about losing. I was mad about I put so much pressure on myself about being perfect, and it just drove me insane. Like, everything I want to do is perfect. I still have that in me, but-

    2. JR

In what way? What do you mean?

    3. DJ

So (sighs) I don't know. Like, I felt like... I remember being in a hotel room, and I re-... we watched the fight, and then I felt like it was just after COVID. So my, my sister passed during... uh, I was getting ready for a fight.I, this is where it kinda stemmed from. So I was getting ready for a fight. My sister, she, she died, and then seeing her pass, and then seeing basically the endgame of life, right?
